During the assembly , speakers led students on a journey to explore the remarkable achievements of Chinese architecture at the intersection of technology, culture, and aesthetics. Students learned how Chinese craftsmen used wood and mortise and tenon joints to construct towering palaces capable of withstanding earthquakes, wind, rain, and harsh climates. They also explored the connection between traditional Chinese architectural design and Chinese cultural ideals and values. Through the lectures, students understood that traditional Chinese architecture is not only imbued with wisdom but also embodies Confucianism, patriarchal ethics, and even traditional Chinese cosmology. This understanding helped them understand the Chinese people's responsibility to protect the precious heritage of Chinese architecture and pass on its culture.
