Teaching and Learning Information Technology in Education BYOD Policy

BYOD Policy

Having launched e-learning for many years, we have fully implemented the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) policy in junior secondary forms. The policy has enhanced the depth and breadth of learning and has realized continuous implementation of e-learning.

The BYOD policy is also in line with the current hybrid mode of learning (i.e., face-to-face classes combined with home-based eLearning or other modes) to provide a more ideal and flexible mode of learning environment for our students.

The Quality Education Fund has loaned mobile computer devices to students with financial needs and provided portable wireless network routers and mobile data cards for students who cannot access to appropriate Internet services due to constraints in their living environment. The arrangements, while enable all students to have equal learning opportunities, also implement a hybrid teaching model under the new normal, thereby facilitating the overall learning and teaching effectiveness.
